Fall is in the Air

Those last few days of "summer" are behind us.  The cooling of the night air, leaves gently falling and students back to school.

Locals know this is the best time to explore and enjoy the Pacific Northwest.  The visitors to our beautiful state have returned to their homes; there is a quiet in the Skagit Valley that beckons us to come out and play.

Between that time of gentle "fall" days and the shortening of daylight waits Bob's.  We're waiting for you to finish your fun.  Skagit Valley's fun dining seafood spot is ready for you to kick back, enjoy a frosty beverage and indulge in the best seafood in the Pacific Northwest.

A Great Adventure Awaits

Before the construction delays and the obstacles that slowed down our opening, we had a grand adventure planned.  We didn't want to wait to say "hello" until we return, that's why we took some time to introduce ourselves in October.  But, the time has finally arrived for us to set sail to new lands for some exploring.  We'll be back in March with tall tales and sea stories.  

Ohhh La La La Conner!

So, we know that it is crazy to open in La Conner in the fall....but that's the way it went so here we are.  Stop by our new beautiful location.  Bob's La Conner aka La Bobs is featuring an all grilled menu.  We still have some of your favorites and we have new additions too.  For the Fall/Winter we are open Thursday - Friday from 11 - 4.  See you at La Bobs!

Can you believe that Bob's Chowder Bar & BBQ Salmon has been in its current location for 7 years?  Where has the time gone? 

When we opened we began our $5.00 Friday promotion.  We've kept that going for 7 years, but we will have to say good-bye to $5.00 Friday on 7/29/16.  Until then, we will keep $5.00 Friday for cash sales ($6.00 for credit/debit card sales).

On August 5, 2016 we will begin $1.50 Friday!  Take $1.50 off any menu item priced at $7.95 or higher for cash purchases or $1.00 off for any credit card purchases. 

We look forward to offering great food at great prices!

Graduation & Fathers' Day

This is a powerful weekend!  Students from Anacortes High School are graduating and we are celebrating Fathers' Day.  It seems to me that these two events always happen on the same weekend.

I like this fact!  There are many ways someone parents. Some dads are, in fact, dads.  Other dads are the men who step up to coach, lead and mentor. 

So, as we watch our graduates celebrate let's take a moment to celebrate the dads who helped them achieve this milestone.


Waterfront Festival Weekend

Every year Anacortes celebrates is waterfront heritage with the Waterfront Festival. 

Saturday and Sunday are filled with great family activities.  This weekend I will be helping the little ones find hidden treasures at the Treasure Hunt.

Our community really pulls together to make this a special weekend.  There are times when the weather doesn't cooperate but this weekend won't be one of them.  Be sure to check out the Waterfront Festival 2016.

Boating Anacortes

Opening day of boating season is coming May 7, 2016 and Bob's Chowder Bar will be there to celebrate. 

Each year Bob's has been on hand to warm salty sailors with Bob's Famous Clam Chowder.  This year we're taking it up a notch.

To celebrate the retirement of long time Cap Sante Marina Director Dale Fowler, Bob's Chowder Bar will serve grilled salmon and our famous Lemon Love Salad.  Join us from 11:00am - 2:00pm to say hello to Boating Season and Bon Voyage to our good friend Dale Fowler.
